If you have been told to explain this quote base on your own understanding, what will you say? There are so many successful peoples out there who are enjoying life very well. On the other side, there they are the poor ones, who do not love their own lives. But tell me; is it really true that poor peoples don’t love their own lives? Some do, but others too think, because they have failed many times they can’t make it anymore. So look at this, they have changed the other side of the above quote to “failure is final”
But is failure really final? I will explain it in more detail, but before I do, let see the above quote on the opinion of successful ones. It very true that rich peoples are enjoying life very well. But do you think their enjoyment can last forever? Most peoples were brought up from rich families so they think their wealth will last forever. They have also changed the other side of the quote to “Success is fatal” So now look at the game these two parties are playing. Each of them thinks his situation is permanent.

But is that really how life is? If success is fatal and failure is final, then why is it that, some successful peoples end up being broke, and other poor peoples do become rich? So it doesn’t make sense for both two parties to think their condition is permanent. There is a quote that says “Nothing is permanent in Life” And yes if nothing is permanent, that means you can easily change the condition you are in, is that not so? So the quote shouldn’t be turned upside down, but it should be as it is “Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts”

No one wants to live a poor life, wearing torn cloth and walking in the street begging for money. Such a situation is considered a disease, Ex-president Barack Obama once said “Poverty is a man-made disease” We all want to be successful in life, to be respected among others, to wear the finest cloth. But yet, for all of these some of us have to dream of it. But there are others who are leaving a successful life, without the need for them to work hard anymore.

But it is very obvious and painful of how some successful peoples later end up. Some enjoy all the best things in their teenage, but within their 40’s or 50’s, you will see them broke with no money. How possible is this? Is really possible, let take our famous boxer, Great Ali, for example, we all know him of his famous in-ring affirmation “Great Ali am the best” He earned a lot of money during his career. But he was reported by BBC in 2015 saying “Great Ali is in huge debt so the general public should be in his aid”
When I heard of this, I was very sad, because I have watched almost all his winning matches. He had worn almost 97% of all his matches in his career. So just look at this big record and how much his earnings will be. So with this, if someone later descends from the sky and tells you that Great Ali is in debt will you believe? If not then you don’t need to be told by an angel before you should agree, that is his current situation now.

So what does this tells us about the meaning of success is not final? It clearly shows that, one so rich could go broke easily. That is why you will find lotto ticket winners successful in some years and letter see them broke. So if you are rich currently, don’t think your wealth will last forever if you don’t guide it with caution. Your wealth can fly away just like how a free bird flies away from it predator. Only those who guide their wealth with caution enjoys for a long time.
Lesson you should learn from, success is not final
So as you have seen in the above explanations. One so rich could go broke tomorrow. So if you are successful currently, this is a great lesson for you to learn something from. The key lesson in this is simple “one so successful today could become poor tomorrow” so if you are successful and you don’t want to become poor, what then do you have to do? If it is your wealth that you should guide it with caution, do so. Because ones your wealth is gone, then you begin to go broke. But if you don’t want to, then why not prevent it? Don’t you know they say “Prevention is better than cure?”

Elon Musk once said “If something is important enough to you, do it, even if the odds are not at your favor,” Most peoples thinks this quote is nonsense, and it doesn’t make sense to continue working on things you keep failing at. They think ones something is not working out in their life that is the final; they can’t push further anymore. When they fail twice at something they say “Hey, this is final, I will never try it again because I will surely fail” So they keep turning the meaning of the quote failure is not fatal upside down.
They don’t know failure is rather fatal. If you keep looking for the negative outcome in everything you do, you will get the same outcome, because our inner would create, our outer world. So whatever you think in your mind, so will it be in your life if you do take action on it. This is why most peoples remain in the same position year after year. They think where they are is final, they can’t push any further. But in life, whenever you fail is a sign of improvement from your life to the next level. Imagine you sell tomatoes on the street. Each day you are able to sell only five pairs. Knowing it exactly that five pairs can’t pay for all your bills, what do you have to do? You need to sell more and make more sales right? Yes, but others will say “Hey, me I can’t sell anymore, am not a good salesperson, I can sell only five pairs daily” And yes they make their condition final, selling five pairs of tomatoes every day.

Meaning of the courage to continue that count
A lot of peoples are aware that their conditions can easily be changed by them. But yet they sit and do nothing about it. They will daydream all the time, wishing they could move from one level to the other. But tell me, if you don’t take action on your dreams, can you achieve it? Surely no. So courage to continue simply means, the ability to concur or overcome something. Let take for example, you know surely that if you don’t study for tomorrow’s exams, you will truly fail. But yet, the ability to move your ass or grab a book and learn is what you lack. So what will happen in the end? “Fail the exam”
So taking all the three phrase together, let see the best way to explain it.

Everything is almost clear now. We have now seen that success is not final in life. Therefore on so successful today could become poor tomorrow. Failure is not also fatal, which means any condition that you found yourself in life, you can change it. But being able to change it is the problem, that is why the quote says “it is the courage to continue that count”. So summing the whole show up simply means, no condition in life is permanent but rather the ability for you to move from a condition you don’t like to where you like is what matters.
Therefore you don’t need to think you can’t change your conditions anymore. Remember, there is a solution to every problem but figuring out that solution and applying it is what will solve the problem. So have the courage and overcome your fears and know that failure is not fatal, success is also not final
