Have you ever been scared because of something strange you keep imagining in your head? Are you afraid of more suffering coming onto you because your mind won’t allow you to sleep? If you answered yes to any of the above questions then remember you are not alone. Each and every day we keep imagining so many things in our head to which some are good and others are bad. Most of the time we wish good thought will always come to reality but when we think about the bad thought it makes us frightened.

This is not an issue but a fact, no one wants pains to come unto him or her. As humans, we were created to resist pain. That is why any little thing which may lead to big pain something’s become a burden on us. That is natural, but you don’t have to worry there is a solution for every problem and also remember “There is nothing new under the sun” all the problems that you keep imagining in your head have been conquered by someone already. Imagine you have learned the skills to control your thought to allow only positive words, how happy and amazing would your life be? You will control your thought instead of letting it control you. You will think positively about the future and act upon it to achieve a successful life. And when you are finally successful, you will buy your dream house, car, and cloth and throw a big party with your friend’s right? But now, here you are without any of these but it doesn’t have to be this way. We suffer more in imagination than in reality meaning. This is a very great quote with full of wisdom only for those who have the ears to grab the meaning. To understand it is just about how we suffer on things we keep thinking about in our heads than what happens to us in the real world. Here is a simple example to illustrate this.

John is a student at Harvard University College. He has not paid his fees for the past four semesters. Recently, the school made an announcement that anyone who has not paid his fees for the past two semesters won’t be allowed to write the upcoming exams. This has become a wrestling match in John’s head. He has no money in his bank account to pay. Because of his stubbornness, his parent has disowned him and now he has no one to look up to for fees. John has been thinking of this for the past two weeks which has caused a very bad effect on his health. No matter how hard he tries, his troubling mind will not allow him to have a sound sleep.

He was walking in the school compound one morning and got collapsed. He was rushed to the hospital and spent ten days on a sickbed before recovering. He was finally discharged home but his mind will not rest, it keeps reminding him of his school debt. Then all of a sudden, John had a call one morning from one of his siblings who gave him a sum of two times his debt. John became so happy afterward because he could then pay his fees in advance.

What does this story says about “we suffer more often in imagination than in reality” John almost got himself killed because of his troubling mind but what happened later on in real life? Something he never expects happened. That is the exact meaning of we suffer more in imagination than in reality. Our thought can have an effect on our health, well-being, and happiness. But sometimes, in reality, things won’t go the way we imagine in our head. You need to find a way to control your mind, if you allow it to control you it will have some bad effect on you. Control your mind to think of only positive thoughts and your life will be prosperous.

We are more often frightened than hurt, and we suffer more from imagination than from reality. This is also another mind troubling issue we need to deal with. They are as a result of our thinking. The sentence is of two-part, the second part I have explained above already so let look at the first part (We are more often frightened than hurt). Have you ever gotten a broken heart before? Have you ever been hurt by someone which in reality wasn’t something you should have been mad about in your head?

You see, our brain is a very fast machine that can analyze what could happen out of something that has not yet been done. Sometimes, what we think of does come true but most often they don’t. Yes, I remember during my college a friend of mine had me gave him my note. He promised to return it the very next day. That very evening I heard that his house has been burned down. Oh God, what of my note, two years note that I have been preparing? This got me frightened because going way back the last two years to jot down all that I have learned was more than 17,280 hours work. What happened the next morning when I saw my friend? He hands over my book safely to me without any scratch.

 Did I got hurt? No, so what was it that I was so frightened about? It’s was my troubling mind. Sometimes how we imagine things in our head brings fear and panic into our life’s which could hold us from achieving great things. Your troubling mind will keep on imagining the worse part of everything until something is done. This could torment you more than you ought, do something about it.
